Remember Coolpad? The company has been pretty quiet, releasing only a handful of phones over the last twelve months. But according to its Weibo account it is ready to wake up from slumber – it will unveil a new phone on May 25 (Tuesday).

That phone will be called the Cool 20 and you can check out an image of its back below. Coolpad rejects plastic builds that are quick to scratch up and promises a more premium and durable glass sandwich design (presumably with a metal frame in between, though it doesn’t specify).

And as you can see from the image, the Coolpad Cool 20 will have a dual camera with a 48 MP main sensor. The AI-powered image processing will be developed by ArcSoft, which is important enough to add a permanent label on the back, apparently.

Additional images on Coolpad’s Weibo page offer a glimpse at the front of the device, which reveals a teardrop notch for the selfie camera. Previously the company has used punch holes and pop-up cameras, but not this time.

Coolpad is coming back, will unveil the Cool 20 next week

The phone will be available in three color options seen below. By the way, those extra images link to online retailer JD, though there’s nothing there yet.

looks like a Mi 10S or Mi 10U from the back From what i can tell in the photos, it looks to have a single 48mp (assuming its a Quad Bayer) sensor and a small 2mp depth/macro. They could have atleast added an 8mp UW
