RANCHI: With the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) unable to conduct examinations owing to the pandemic, the state government is all set to promote Class IX and Class XI students to the next session. The government pointed out that the session has already been delayed.
The director of Jharkhand Project Education Council (JPEC), Sailesh Chaurasia, said: "As the JAC is unable to hold the examinations, we have no students in Class X and XII. Promoting students would at least enable us to start classes for the 2021-22 session, which has already been delayed."
He said that the department is trying to ensure maximum participation of students in the online classes. Chaurasia added that limited physical interaction might be permitted once the situation eases and the curbs imposed by the government are lifted. The entire process including attendance of students, connectivity issues and availability of gadgets was being monitored so that corrective measures could be taken in the future, the official said.
