The Association of Unaided College Teachers (AUCT) today hailed the government’s decision to appoint its representatives in aided colleges.
The general secretary of the association, Harjeet Singh, said: “Recently, under the direction of the Department of Higher Education, DPI (Colleges) released a letter regarding the appointment of government representatives in 28 aided colleges of Punjab. This is the first phase of appointments in an effort to bring transparency in the management of colleges.”
“We welcome the decision. We want that this decision must be implemented as early as possible,” he added. — TNS
