Hyderabad: Applying for e-passes from the Telangana State Police website is not a good experience for people. According to users, technical errors make it a difficult task to get an email pass to travel in emergencies during shutdown.
Some say this from the first day of the exclusion, shortly after the Telangana police website policeportal.tspolice.gov.in for the purpose was ready, it often encountered technical problems. Several citizens planning trips to other countries are traveling through the district as well as individuals traveling from one place to another in the three commissioners namely Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda, trying to experience an e-pass.
In one case, Tirumala Rao, who was trying to get the e-pass so that he could travel to his home country in Visakhapatnam for a medical emergency, could not get the pass on time due to the technical problems.
According to a senior official of the IT cell of the Telangana police, many people were not willing to lock up, and when several tried to get the passes at the same time, the server got stuck. As a result, the system crashed quite frequently and users encountered technical issues.
‘We receive several such complaints and inquiries online on various social media platforms and also offline. However, we will solve the problems within minutes with the help of our knowledgeable IT team, ”said the official. It can be noted that on the first day of the exclusion, more than 7,000 requests for the e-pass were received from the Hyderabad City police limits. The number has steadily increased with requests from across the state.
IT experts said that the majority of the issues are also related to incorrect details entered by the user, ranging from address errors, irregular size of the photos being uploaded, and so on.
“In most cases, users can fix such issues themselves, such as entering correct details into the appropriate format,” they said.
