CALCUTTA HC proposes TMC leaders and former city mayor to be kept under house arrest

Kolkata, May 21 (UNI) Calcutta High Court today proposed that the three prominent leaders and former mayor of Kolkata who were arrested in connection with the Narada sting operation case might be kept “under house arrest, considering their failing health condition.
A two-judge bench comprising Acting Chief Justice and Justice Arijit Banerjee proposed it to counsels of the Central Bureau of Investigation and the TMC leaders and former city mayor as the hearing began this morning.
The hearing was adjourned for the time being and it would begin soon.
