MVA Govt likely to fall due to internal squabble: Fadnavis

Kolhapur, May 20 (UNI) The ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra would fall due to internal differences between three alliance partners -- Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party and Congress and is on its way out, hinted Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday.
In an interview to a leading TV news channel during his three-day tour of the Konkan region to take stock of damage caused by the recent cyclone, he reiterated his earlier claim made during an election campaign meeting at Pandharpur bye-election
He further said that time is not right to pick up the fight with this government as the fight against corona pandemic in the state was currently ongoing, however, after end of the corona crisis, he would prove his claim true, the former chief minister expressed.
If police officer Ms Rashmi Shukla comes out with a report, the government would go to court with a plea not to order inquiry into the issue, he said.

Mr Fadnavis reiterated his claim that this government would fall due to internal differences between its constituent members and said the government was on its way out.
On Maratha reservation issue, the former chief minister said the ruling MVA government was trying to shy away from its responsibility by asking the central government to give reservation to the Marathas, he noted claimed.
It was trying to deceive the Maratha community by giving a one-page letter to the state Governor, he claimed.
He blamed state minister Ashok Chavan, who is also chairman of Cabinet Sub-committee on Reservation, for not doing anything in support of the Maratha reservation.
The ruling government has totally failed to maintain the issue of reservation in the court of law, for which his previous government had passed a law, the LoP added
