New Delhi: The India women’s team will play their maiden pink-ball Test later this year, against Australia in Perth, cricket boards of both the countries announced today. Mithali Raj’s team will take on Meg Lanning’s squad at the WACA ground from September 30 in what will be only the second Day-Night Test in women’s cricket, following Australia’s drawn 2017 match against England in Sydney.

Maradona doctors could face murder charge

Buenos Aires: Seven people being investigated over the death of Argentine footballing great Diego Maradona could face charges of premeditated murder, a news report has said. The accused, including Maradona’s neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov and psychologist Carlos Diaz, could face eight to 25 years in prison if found guilty. The indictment is based on findings by a board of experts into Maradona’s death from a heart attack last year. The report of these experts concluded that Maradona received inadequate medical care and was left to his fate for a “prolonged, agonising period” before his death, which occurred just weeks after the 60-year-old underwent a brain surgery for a blood clot.
