High court exonerates 13 accused of Senari massacre, lower court had awarded death sentence to 10 and life to three

Patna, May 20 (UNI) Patna High Court today exonerated 13 accused of senari massacre

A division bench of the court comprising justice Ashwani Kumar Singh and Justice Minister

Arvind Srivastava delivered the verdict which they had reserved after completing the hearing

on the case .

The Court turning down the orders of a Lower court ,which had awarded death sentence to

10 accused and lifer to 3, exonerated 13 accused of the massacre.

Earlier, Dwarika Paswan, Bachesh Kumar Singh, Mungeshwar Yadav and others through

criminal appeal in the High Court had challenged the verdict of Lower court.

The High Court exonerating Bachesh Kumar Singh, Dwarika Paswan, Mungeshwar Yadav,

Budhan Yadav ,Gopal Saw, Butai Yadav, Satyendra Das, Lalan Pasi, Pariman Paswan,Hota

Paswan, Uma Paswan, Vinay Paswan and Arvind Paswan ordered to release them.

It may be recalled that 34 people of a particular caste were massacred brutally on the night

of March 18, 1999

At Senari village under Kurtha police station area of Jehanabad district . The banned outfit

of maoist communist Centre (MCC) was said to be behind this massacre.
