$120 Tim Tebow Jerseys Top Seller At NFL Shop, 1 Day After Jacksonville Jaguars Deal

Just one day after he was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end, Tim Tebow's jersey was the top seller on the NFL Shop website.

The top three selling jerseys were all No. 85 Tebow jerseys, with men's and women's jerseys priced at $119.99 listed as the top two sellers. A youth Tebow jersey, priced at $79.99, was the third best seller on the NFL Fan Shop's jersey section.

In addition to Tebow's game jerseys being top sellers, both a men's and women's Tebow t-shirt were listed as the top two best sellers in the shop's t-shirt section. Both were priced at $34.99.

Recently drafted Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields and seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, followed behind Tebow in top jersey sales on the NFL Shop website.

The Jaguars declined to comment on Tebow's jersey being a top seller.

The news of Tebow's jersey being a top seller on the NFL Shop comes just a day after the Jaguars announced they were signing Tebow to play tight end. According to ESPN, the Jaguars signed Tebow to a one-year deal. Tebow was seen on the field on Thursday during an offseason practice where he will compete for an official spot on the team's 53-man roster.

Tebow, a former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, has not played for an NFL team since 2015, when he was on the Philadelphia Eagles preseason roster, Tebow was released before the season started that year. Since 2015, Tebow has served as a commentator on the SEC Network and also dabbled in baseball in the New York Mets minor league system.

Tebow was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010 and played as the team's quarterback in nine games. He then started the 2011 season as the Broncos' backup quarterback, but after a 1-3 start under quarterback Kyle Orton, Tebow became the team's starter for the next 11 games. While Tebow was known as a Heisman-winning quarterback, he became a household name following the 2011 NFL playoffs when he connected with wide receiver Demaryius Thomas for a game-winning touchdown to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

Following his time on the Broncos, Tebow played one season with the New York Jets in 2012. In 2013, he was singed by the New England Patriots, but was cut before the start of the season.

Tebow's contract with the Jaguars will reunite him with first-year Jacksonville Head Coach Urban Meyer, whom he played under in college at the University of Florida.

In a statement released by the Jaguars, Tebow said, "I want to thank the Jaguars for the opportunity to compete and earn the chance to be part of this team."

"I know it will be a challenge, but it is a challenge I embrace. I am dedicated to taking the direction of our coaching staff and learning from my teammates. I appreciate everyone's support as I embark on this new journey," Tebow added.
