BBC will return the Bafta it won for Princess Diana's 1995 Panorama interview.
This comes after an independent inquiry found that journalist Martin Bashir tricked her into giving the tell-all interview about the demise of her marriage with Prince Charles.
The BBC has apologised and said it would return the awards it won, including a Bafta in 1996 for best television talk show.
"The 1995 Panorama interview received a number of awards at the time. We do not believe it is acceptable to retain these awards because of how the interview was obtained," said the BBC.
Other awards the interview won include two from the Broadcasting Press Guild, reports Deadline.
