COVID almost destroys family of killed Telugu police officer

Hyderabad: The boom COVID-19 pandemic has caused countless misery to many households and even wiped out some families completely – the family of police officer G. Krishna Prasad, who was killed by suspected terrorists in Hyderabad in 1992, has lost at least five members in the past year and a half. months.

Krishna Prasad’s wife Jankai, daughter G. Deepthi and son G. Vivek were all infected by Covid-19. Jankai was admitted to the hospital with a lung infection and died on May 4.

Fifteen days later, her daughter loses her battle with Covid in a hospital in Secunderabad. Deepthi, 41, was general manager of the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC).

According to Deepthi’s family members, she was admitted to hospital last week with low saturation levels. When her condition began to deteriorate, she was detained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, she also conceded to the pandemic late Wednesday.

Deepthi’s last rituals were performed in Bachupalli on Thursday. Her brother Vivek has recovered and is the only surviving member of the family.

Brother and sister Janardhan Rao and Aunt Mary are also dead Covid recently in Hyderabad, while Uncle Veerabhadra Rao passed away on his mother’s side Covid in Guntur in neighboring Andhra Pradesh.

Krishna Prasad, then additional superintendent of police, special intelligence branch, was killed on November 29, 1992 when suspected terrorists hiding in a house in Hyderabad opened fire. Prasad’s gunman Venkateswar Rao was also killed in the attack, which took place when the officer raided a suspected hideout for the terrorists.

Prasad comes from the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.

Deepthi, who was selected for Group 1 in 2007, worked in the audit department for five years and was later offered a job in the marketing mission. In 2018, she will be appointed General Manager (Sales and Marketing) in the TSMDC. She was known as a dedicated officer who fulfilled the most important responsibilities in departments such as sand sales and e-office. Her husband, Vikas Bansode, is a well-known lawyer.
