Indian Navy officers share experience of Barge P305 rescue mission

Battling the extreme weather conditions, the brave officers of Indian Navy rescued at least 186 crew members and recovered 37 bodies from Barge P305 that sank in the Arabian Sea 35 nautical miles from Mumbai due to Cyclone Tauktae. As the search operation for missing continues, INS Shikra Commanding Officer Captain Dushyanth Purohit said, “Since 18th we have flown about 40 + hours. A total of 39 survivors were rescued by helicopters alone, we also provided ration which was important for their survival. Even when we are talking search operation continues.”
