Berks police looking for Lebanon County man on firearms and drug charges
May 20—Bethel Township police are looking for a Lebanon County man who faces firearms and drug charges after he parked his SUV in a resident's driveway and appeared to prepare to sleep there.
They are looking for Jesse Dene Brubaker, 29, of Myerstown.
According to township police:
Police were called to a home on Schneck Street shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday for a report of a man who was in a silver SUV parked in their driveway for over an hour and appeared to be getting ready to go to sleep.
When police arrived they found Brubaker in the SUV and acting erratically.
Police ordered Brubaker out of the vehicle, and as they were searching him, he fled.
Police found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and drug paraphernalia where Brubaker was sitting in the SUV. Brubaker is a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess a firearm.
Police also recovered a large amount of methamphetamine, approximately $4,700, metal knuckles, and a small amount of marijuana.
Brubaker is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He may be driving a black 2009 BMW 3 Series sedan with a Pennsylvania registration LKS1092.
Brubaker was charged with persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms; resisting arrest; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
