NEW DELHI: Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Thursday said that as our strategy to deal with
Covid-19 should be dynamic, innovative and constantly upgraded just as the
virus mutates.
"Be it the last pandemics or this one, every epidemic has taught us one thing- constant change in our ways of dealing with epidemics, constant innovation is very important. It is expert in virus mutation, in changing the format, so our methods and strategies should also be dynamic," said the PM during an interaction with district magistrates (DM) and field officials.
The PM also asked the officials to draw on their fieldwork and their experiences to come up with effective and practical policies for the fight against the virus.
"The strategy of vaccination is also being pushed forward by incorporating suggestions from states and various stakeholders at all levels," the PM said.
Modi also said that there is a need to prevent vaccine wastage, saying every dose wasted is denying someone protection shield against the disease.
The PM also cautioned the officials about being vigilant despite recent fall in cases, saying "corona cases have come down but the challenge will remain as long infection remains even at minor levels.
