The Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility, Panjab University, handed over air purifiers, donated by Molekule Inc USA, to the PGI here today.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar handed over the air purifier units to Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER.
Dr Jaspreet Singh Dhau, PU alumni and head of R&D at Molekule Inc USA, spearheaded the campaign to provide the purifiers to various hospitals in India.
In coming days, the company will hand over 100 more air purifiers.
Prof Jagat Ram expressed his gratitude to PU Vice-Chancellor and Dr Jaspreet Singh Dhau for their contribution.
Prof GR Chaudhary, Director, SAIF, PU, and Dr Rajeev Kumar from Environment Studies said Molekule’s core technology was designed to destroy airborne pollutants.
Dean Student Welfare (men) Prof SK Tomar; Dean Student Welfare (women) Prof Sukhvir Kaur; Dean College Development Council Prof Sanjay Kaushik; Director, Department of Computer Science and Applications, Prof Sukhwinder; and Dr Ramesh Sharma, SAIF/CIL, were also present on the occasion.
