Realme confirms X7 Max 5G is on the way

Realme has been teasing its upcoming Dimensity 1200-powered phone for a while now and today we get confirmation that the device in questions is the Realme X7 Max 5G. Realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth shared a teaser for the device on his Twitter account and the official landing page for the phone on Realme’s website (URL mentions X7 Max 5G) confirmed we are indeed expecting the X7 Max 5G.

Looking at the phone’s rear design, there’s quite a few similarities with the Realme GT Neo which was unveiled in China back in March. If this is indeed merely a rebrand, the X7 Max 5G should offer a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 64MP primary camera and a 4,500 mAh battery with 50W wired charging.

The X7 Max’s retail box also managed to leak earlier this month revealing a 120Hz AMOLED display and yet again confirming the Dimensity 1200 chipset. The phone was expected to launch on May 4 before the second COVID wave hit India and forced Realme to postpone the launch.

I actually prefer the garish colours of the China version. India version looks tame.
