The first instalment of the loan from a French firm for 24x7 water supply project is expected in December.

This came to light during the first meeting of the project governance committee for 24x7 water supply project funded by the Agence Francaise De Development (AFD) and the European Union. The meeting was chaired by Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator.

The dignitaries from the AFD and the European Union joined the meeting through an online video-conference.

KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, gave a presentation on the scope of the project, procurement plan, terms of the contract and other components of the project. The committee reviewed all documents and they were approved by the Chairman for submitting them to the AFD and the Centre.

The credit facility agreement (CFA) between the Centre and the AFD is expected to be signed in July. After signing the CFA, an agreement is expected to be signed between the AFD and the MC in September.
