Maha receives Rs 861.40 cr funds as 1st installment from Finance Commission for developmental works

Kolhapur, May 20 (UNI) Maharashtra has received funds of Rs 861.40 crore, sanctioned by 15th Finance Commission as first installment for the fiscal year 2021-22, which would expedite various developmental works in the limits of local self-government institutions of the state, informed state Rural Development Minister Hasan Mushrif on Thursday.
The 15th Finance Commission has sanctioned total Rs 861.40 crore funds as first installment for various developmental works in the limits of the gram panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Ziila Parishads as basic and 'Ambandhit '(unconditional) funds for the 2021-22 year, he said in a press release here.
As per the government formula, Rs 861.40 crore would be distributed as per 80:10:10 formula to gram panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zilla Parishads in the districts of the state respectively, Mr Mushrif said and added that this would help to speed up various developmental works in the three local self-government bodies.
