PRAYAGRAJ: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a notorious fraudster identified as Alok Mishra, a resident of Itauri village, Lalganj from Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The fraudster, wanted by Lucknow, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh police was carrying Rs 25,000 cash reward on his head. A total of eight criminal cases, including three with Lalganj PS ( Pratapgarh), two with Civil Lines and one with Dhoomanganj (Prayagraj) and Gomti Nagar and Ghazipur (Lucknow) were registered against him. IG (Prayagraj range) K P Singh told reporters that accused had duped many people across the state on the pretext of of beneficial schemes and arranging jobs in various government departments.
