India sees 2,76,110 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, fatalities below 4,000

New Delhi, May 20: India records 2,76,110 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu each contribute over 34,000 new cases. Kerala added over 32,000. Active cases drop by over 96,000, come down to 31.29 lakh.

There has been a significant decline in daily death count. 3,874 deaths reported on Wednesday. The number had risen to more than 4,500 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, over 20.55 lakh samples were tested for the infection in the last 24 hours, accounting for the highest single-day tests so far.
