It's been 14 years since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan entered marital bliss. After being eligible bachelor and bachelorette for many years, the couple tied the knot in 2007 breaking the hearts of many. Many desired Aishwarya and have sent her marriage proposals during the pre-social media era. Now, we came across a throwback video of Aishwarya and Abhishek in which the latter is seen reacting to a guy proposing to her with a placard.
In the video, AB is seen spotting a man holding a banner that read as "Marry me", hinting at Aishwarya. To which Abhishek reacted by saying, "She married me, man", while pointing at his loving wife. This left Aishwarya in splits.
Earlier, during their appearance on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show', Abhishek revealed how he proposed to Aishwarya in New York. The actor recalled, "I was filming in New York for a movie and I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish that one day, it would be nice if I was together with her, married. So, I took her to the very same balcony and asked her to marry me."
Aishwarya reacted to it by stating, "It was very sweet. It was very real at the same time."
During a recent interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Abhishek also spoke about how Aishwarya explain to their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan of their privilege.
The 'Ludo' actor said, "She made Aaradhya very aware of the family that she came from, from when she was a newborn baby. She knows that her dada and dadi, and her mom and dad are both actors, and that we're very privileged and that we enjoy the love and respect of so many millions, and that you have to learn to respect that and appreciate that and thank God for it. She's fine, she's very normal about these things. She sees our films, and enjoys them."
