Port Huron Police investigating stabbing

Port Huron Police are investigating a stabbing after a man sought treatment at Lake Huron Hospital Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the hospital for a 36-year-old Clyde Township man who had a stab wound to the chest, Port Huron Police Assistant Chief Marcy Kuehn said.
The man said he was jumped about an hour and a half before coming to the hospital, and he was unsure who stabbed him. Police estimate the stabbing happened sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 3:13 a.m., Kuehn said.
It is not clear whether the stabbing occurred in the city of Port Huron or Port Huron Township, Kuehn said.
Kuehn said the suspect is at large, but it's believed the suspect and victim know each other.
The incident remains under investigation and the police department is continuing to attempt to speak to potential witnesses or suspects.
