
A fast moving blitz of storms that swept Southeast Texas overnight Tuesday spared the worst of the expected flooding, allowing some schools to reopen today. Others decided to remain virtual as a precaution with rain in the forecast for the rest of the week. Here is a roundup of what school districts have shared so far:
Sabine Pass ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
Hamshire-Fannett ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
Beaumont ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
Port Arthur ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
West Hardin ISD: The district will remain virtual for Wednesday, and make an announcement later today about Thursday.
Deweyville ISD: Deweyville Elementary will remain remote/virtual for the remainder of the week according to a Facebook post.
West Orange-Cove CISD: The district will remain virtual for the rest of the week
Jasper ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
Kirbyville ISD: Students will learn remotely Wednesday
Hardin-Jefferson ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Silsbee ISD: Some bus routes may be delayed, but students will have a normal school day
Bridge City ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Evadale ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Kountze ISD: Students will have a normal day, but will start an hour late
Liberty ISD: Liberty ISD will be closed Wednesday
Little Cypress-Mauriceville ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Lumberton ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Nederland ISD: ISD: Students will have a normal school day
Orangefield ISD: ISD: Students will have a normal school day
