Thread: Crypto is the only way Millennials can live a non-poverty lifestyle.

Guys, listen up, this is important.

I took the boring path and worked hard in college to get a BS in Electrical Engineering. I got my first job out of college making $70k/yr . I was always told the key to being a guaranteed millionaire was to start saving / investing as young as possible. I started my 401k, I started my first brokerage account and I bought stock in established blue-chip companies which pay a decent dividend...it was so boring!!! I was such a wagecuck.

Then I got promotions over 10 years, and joined some prestigious companies boosting my yearly compensation to around $150k. I bought a house for $650k in the Bay Area 5 years ago using the $120,000 down payment from my savings and investing. Hard work sucks!

But what I've realized is this.....It turns out I'm such a wagecuck. I'm helping some evil CEO get rich from my labor! I toil away in my cubicle for 40-50hrs a week! I've wasted my life while the alpha chads post amazing pictures on Instagram showing how rich and successful they are with women! How far fetched is retirement the boomer way these days? Is hard work still a good way to retire for most people in their mid 50s? I'm talking $80k salary, 401k, and some stocks. Can you get to say $2,000,000 in savings? What's the possibility of your retirement being wiped out?

I just feel like the boomer way is outdated.

401k and buying the S&P 500 has worked for a century and will keep working unless america is destroyed by a nuclear bomb.

Yall ever heard of Hitashi Ouchi? Dude, one of the most disturbing things I've ever learned about. I was watching some videos about him last night.

He was a power plant worker that got absolutely bombarded with a megadose of neutron beam radiation. He had some nausea and vomiting an a little skin redness and stuff, standard radiation stuff.

But the real problem is that when it happened, all of his chromosomes in all of his cells were completely shattered and jumbled. He had no more genetic code. His cells could no longee replicate. It's like the radiation instantly killed him, and he was just living in a corpse from then on.

He lasted two months. By the end of it, he literally looked like a piece of bacon. The things that happened to his body, it is unreal. He was basically rotting alive. Our cells are basically always replicating. His did not. His skin just started falling off, his eyelids were stuck open and his eyes bled nonstop, it was ****ing crazy dude.
