This US Woman Collects Life Sized Dolls Of Babies After Her Children Chose To Live With Her Ex Husband

I don’t know anything about motherhood. In fact, the closest I have come to being a mother is having to take care of my drunk friends at a club. But I have learned that a mother is the only person in the whole world that will love you unconditionally. And hence, it’s not shocking that a loss of a child, in any way, can leave a woman heartbroken and devastated. Of course, just like grief, everyone has different ways to cope with such great pain. For instance, this woman from the USA spent thousands of dollars buying life sized dolls to fill the void left by her teenage children when they decided to go live with their father, her ex husband. Even though we feel her pain, life sized dolls of babies is a bit creepy. Has she never watched any of the Chucky movies?

42-year-old Liz Watson was so shattered when her two teenage sons decided to move in with their father that she did something that’s well, bizarre. To fill the void and to cope with the loss of her kids to her ex husband, Liz spent thousands of dollars buying life sized dolls all so she can feel like a mother again.

After a messy divorce in 2010, Liz moved to Virginia from Kansas with her two sons, Dylan and Asher. They started living with her now-husband, Jeff. Liz and Jeff have an 18-month-old daughter, Journey. However, Dylan and Asher couldn’t live without their father and were extremely homesick and decided to move back to Kansas. This decision upset Liz as she missed them terribly. According to reports, she felt, “sense of loss she had never experienced before”. She was also upset about all the big moments of their life that she will miss out on.

Then in 2016, she found something that could help make her feel better about her loss. On YouTube, she discovered the world of ‘reborn dolls’. She began buying dolls and now has an entire room decorated as their nursery. These dolls are made of silicone and vinyl and their features resemble that of a human baby. Over the years, her collection of these lifelike dolls has increased and Liz is now a self-proclaimed ‘reborn mother’.

Albeit a tad creepy, these dolls have made Liz feel like a mother again. The age range of her dolls is between newborn and 12 months. And even though her current husband was initially a little dicey about this, he now supports her hobby. Liz takes care of them like she would her own kids. Their names are- Juniper Anne, Willa Jane, Nixon Grey, Benedict Arthur, Jax Ethan, Crevan Ridge, Paisley Rye, Isla Blu and Oaklyn Elise.

Liz told Daily Mail, “The dolls really give me comfort because I connect them with the feelings I had of being a mother to my two older children when they were born. I know these dolls won’t grow up, they won’t get taken away from me. A divorce will not affect my ability to take care of them. I know they will never leave.”

If I am being honest, there is no way I would be able to live in a hose with life-sized dolls that look like human babies. Horror movies have completely ruined that for me and I am assuming a lot of people. But if this makes Liz feel better and complete, who are we to judge?
