Nayanthara essays the role of a blind woman for the movie 'Netrikann'. The movie is funded by Nayanthara's boyfriend Vignesh Shivan himself. Milind Rao who directed the horror movie 'Aval' with Siddharth and Andrea helm this project. Ajmal is doing a crucial role in this movie. The movie has a strong technical team comprising Krish for Music and RD Rajasekar for cinematography.

This movie is an official remake of the Korean movie 'Blind'. The teaser of the movie got released last year and it got huge appreciation. The shooting for this movie is 80% completed and due to the second wave of Corona, it got stalled. Recently, the shooting got restarted and the entire shooting proceedings got wrapped up. 


The team worked on the post-production works and recently Nayanthara saw the final copy of the movie in a private theater in chennai and she was extremely happy with the output. The makers are planning to release the movie directly on the OTT platform if the second wave doesn't subside sooner. If the second wave effect doesn't get nullified the makers will release the movie on some OTT platform. Stay tuned.
