CM Encourages Corona Warriors of JSPL, Naveen Jindal expresses gratitude
In the first wave of Covid19 in the country, there was a historical exodus of migrant laborers and the JSPL Foundation led by Mrs. Shallu Jindal fought the battle from the front with providing food packets for the needy and dry ration in many states including Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand.

Raipur: Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel encouraged today via a twit to Corona Warriors of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), a company headed by noted industrialist Mr. Naveen Jindal, for which Mr. Naveen Jindal thanked and expressed gratitude with Commitment to stand with him in the battle against Covid19 till it was overcome.
In the first wave of Covid19 in the country, there was a historical exodus of migrant laborers and the JSPL Foundation led by Mrs. Shallu Jindal fought the battle from the front with providing food packets for the needy and dry ration in many states including Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand.
More than 5 lakh cooked food packets were distributed in the first wave. Similarly, in view of the lack of oxygen in the second wave of Covid19, JSPL under the leadership of Shri Naveen Jindal took the initiative to send liquid medical oxygen to hospitals across the country which is still continuing and JSPL is resolved to continue its services till the Covid19 is overcome..
So far, around 2000 tonnes of oxygen have been supplied to the hospitals in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Jharkhand. Masks, sanitizers and other medical and hygiene support were provided to millions of people last time, similarly this time also JSPL has provided facility of Quarantine and Isolation in its plant locations as well as treatment facilities of Covid19.
The company has increased the number of Covid19 beds at Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital in Raigarh to 348, with 10 ICUs and 116 oxygen beds, with a commitment to community safety along with the employees. Apart from this, only 30 beds are reserved for the treatment of common diseases. Dry ration and food packets are being distributed to the affected families of Raigarh.
In view of these efforts of JSPL dedicated to humanity, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, in the heartfelt words for the Corona Warriors of JSPL expressed, “Such a crisis on humanity will never be forgotten. But history will also salute supporting hands who are trying to keep the threads of breath alive. Thanks to the Corona Warriors and the Chairman of JSPL Mr. Naveen Jindal for the support to overcome the crisis in second wave”.
