Andrea Orcel’s Santander Hearing Is Suspended by Madrid Judge

(Bloomberg) -- A Madrid court suspended the hearing in a lawsuit that UniCredit SpA Chief Executive Officer brought against Banco Santander after it reneged on an offer to hire him as CEO over a pay dispute.

The judge adjourned the hearings on Wednesday because no witnesses were present from UBS Group AG, and asked Orcel’s lawyers to ensure their presence for when the hearing resumes. Executives from the Swiss bank were expected to testify as witnesses for Orcel.
