NEW DELHI: Someone who contracted Covid-19 will have to wait three months after recovery before getting vaccinated.
The health ministry has accepted this recommendation by the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for Covid-19 (NEGVAC).
Those who contracted the infection after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, will also have to wait three moths for the second dose.

Persons who were hospitalised under ICU with any serious illness other than Covid, will have to wait out 4-8 weeks.
These recommendations have been based on the evolving situation of the pandemic and emerging global scientific evidence and experience, a media release by the ministry said.
The panel also recommended vaccination for all lactating women. However on vaccination of pregnant women, the panel said the matter is under further deliberation.
Screening of the recipients by rapid antigen test is not required prior to vaccination, the release said.
