New relaxations have been announced with respect to E-Pass while traveling between inter and intra districts in Tamil Nadu. The second wave of Corona has caused huge deaths and the number of positive cases is not slowing down. This has caused a huge headache for the Government as well as the frontline workers. Despite a lockdown was imposed several people were found roaming on the roads and this has caused even more trouble.

So tamil Nadu government issued an E-Pass for any travel. A new website was launched to register for E-Pass. However, yesterday more than 6500 vehicles were seized in chennai alone for traveling without a proper E-Pass. But there was chaos as several doctors, press people, media people vehicles were also seized as they were also stopped. 


In this case, tamil Nadu government has issued relaxation for Doctors, Frontline workers, and press people to travel without E-Pass. They can just show their identity cards and can travel between districts and they won't need any E-Pass. This relaxation has come as a boon for several people. This new relaxation policy will be effective from today. However, the necessary people have to carry a valid ID card with them.
