Rajasthan: BJP MLA from Dhariyawad Gautam Lal Meena succumbs to Covid-19, 4 MLAs have died so far

BJP MLA from Dhariyawad Gautam Lal Meena died on Wednesday from Covid-19. According to the information received, he was admitted to MB Hospital in Udaipur after he tested positive for Covid-19, where he was kept on a ventilator for the last 2 days. He died at 9 o`clock today (Wednesday) morning.

Gautam Lal Meena, who was MLA from Pratapgarh`s Dhariyawad assembly for the second consecutive time, was among the popular leaders of the region. MLA Meena won by defeating Congress MLA Nagraj Meena by nearly 24000 votes.

There is a wave of mourning in the area with Meena`s death. Several leaders including Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP state president Satish Poonia have mourned the death of Meena. He was admitted to Maharana Bhupal Hospital in Udaipur on May 16. He was kept on a ventilator for the last 2 days when his condition became critical.

Gautam Lal Meena was the 4th MLA who succumbed to Covid-19 in the state, after BJP MLA Kiran Maheshwari, Congress MLA Kailash Trivedi, and Gajendra Singh Shakatwat lost their lives to Covid-19.
