NHPC gets 1 270 employees in the power sector, family members are vaccinated

New Delhi: The state-owned hydro-giant NHPC arranged two days COVID vaccination, during which as many as 1,270 workers in the central power sector and their family members were vaccinated.

From 18 to 19 May 2021, NHPC Ltd organized a two-day vaccination camp at the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Badarpur, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi for employees (including contract workers and security personnel) and family members (18-44 years) ) of Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MRs) and various CPSUs / organizations under the Ministry of Power and MRs in Delhi / NCR region, reads a statement.

The first dose of omitted employees and family members between the ages of 45 and 60 was also given.

AK Singh, CMD, NHPC visited the vaccination room the first day and thanked the NHPC team involved in setting up the camp for their dedication during this time of crisis.

He further thanks Apollo Hospitals for their association and to NPTI for providing the place for the vaccination camp.

The two-day vaccination camp witnessed the largest vaccinations driven by NHPC, involving 1,270 people from MOP (Ministry of Power and PSUs such as NHPC, NTPC, IREDA, NPTI, BHEL, REC, THDC, PTC, CVPPPL, BBMB and UPL) receive the first dose of Covishield vaccine.

The vaccination camp is organized for the safety of personnel in the power sector, so as to ensure uninterrupted power supply on a 24 × 7 basis.
