Hyderabad: Saidabad police have arrested a notorious rioter in the area after he allegedly used extortion from a Mutavali of the Dargah.
SSMA Kashif Pasha Quadri, Muthavali of Dargah Ujale Shah and the neighboring cemetery Saidabad, lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the local noisy Mohammed Naseeruddin @ Chakhu Naseer interfered in the affairs of the cemetery and threatened and demanded him to the money of Rs 10,000 / – per telephone.
According to police, since COVID-19 deaths were reported and few bodies were brought to the Ujale Shah Cemetery for burial, the noisy person apparently interfered in the affairs of the cemetery and demanded money for each corpse.
The Dargah Mutawalli, who testified to the threats and extortion talks, lodged a complaint with the Saidabad police on which a case was filed under the IPC under section 384 (extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation) against the harsh leader Chaku Naseer.
“We arrested him as the Dargah Mutavali gave us the recorded telephone conversation with the noisy person. He carried out the criminal activities mysteriously,” said K Srinivas inspector Saidabad police station.
Naseer was produced before the Nampally Metropolitan courts and later sent to court conditions.
