A second suspect in the murder of a Lenasia school teacher is under police guard in hospital.
Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed that the suspect in the murder of Naadira Vanker was arrested on Monday.
"Police rescued the suspect as he was being assaulted by the community at Phumlamqashi, south of Lenasia. He was taken to hospital under police guard," Masondo said.
The suspect would be charged with murder and taken to court as soon as he's discharged from hospital.
News24 previously reported that the first suspect was arrested after Vanker's body was found in a shallow grave in Phumlamqashi.

Gauteng police said in a statement that Vanker was abducted from her home by two men on Thursday, 22 April.
Investigations subsequently led the team to a shack in Phumlamqashi, Lenasia South, where one of the suspects was found.

The first suspect then took the police to a shallow grave in the yard where the victim was buried.
The suspect, identified as Lucky Mshubi, had since appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate's Court.
The State alleged that Mshubi planned the offences that resulted in Vanker's death, and upon realising that she was dead, Mshubi then dug a grave and buried her, News24 previously reported.
Mshubi is due back in court in June.
