It is the beginning stage of the human hive mind, which is the first step to singularity.
Eventually human beings will be a single being that they evolved into. We already are it, in a way, and the separation between its components (humans, database, ai) is shrinking all the time.
At that point, the thing that used to be the human race will have no desires, goals, interests, and most importantly no needs... and subsequently no meaning. Perhaps then we will find purpose in creating primitive life ourselves, to give the cold universe meaning through it, like parents who think they give the world hope and goodness through their children. And eventually that life will rebel and disregard us and our guidance. And that will be their doom.
