Open Fiber extends FTTH network to Cernusco sul Naviglio

Italian wholesale operator Open Fiber said it reached an agreement with Cernusco sul Naviglio town council to bring FTTH broadband to the Milanese locality. Under the project, a total of around 11,000 homes and offices in the town will eventually be able to sign up to FTTH connections at download speeds of up to 1Gbps and latencies of less than 5 milliseconds following a total investment of EUR 4 million. A total of 80 kilometres of cable will be rolled out and Open Fiber expects to complete the work in around 18 months.
