A hidden wine cellar, an antler chandelier, 12-car garage, 13 bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, food plots and a 150-yard rifle range.

All this and more is available at 6340 and 6350 Wolf Road, with the “dream log cabin home” and “The Lodge” accompanying it available for $1,995,000, according to the property’s online listing.

Located near Marlette in Burnside Township, the log cabin home has over 19,000 square feet of living space. “The Lodge,” a steel building included with the sale, has an additional 11,000 square feet of space.

“My personal favorite part is ‘The Lodge,’” Signature Sotheby's International Realty real estate professional Tory Sheffer said in an email. “It can sleep 40 people comfortably and then has a completely separate area for all ATV/UTVs and then there is a massive screened in porch bbq area so you never need to worry about mosquitoes in the summer.”

A log cabin home with over 19,000 square feet of living space on 18 acres is listed for sale for $1,995,000 near Marlette in Burnside Township. The sale includes an 11,000-square-foot steel building that can accommodate over 40 guests, complete with walk-in gun safe, RV storage and an over 100-yard rifle range on the property.

Sheffer said the sellers are Oakland County business owners who used the property as a weekend and hunting home, to enjoy time with family and friends away from busy work life.

The property was constructed in 2003, taking roughly two years to finish the main log home and The Lodge afterward. The exact building cost is unknown but estimated at well over $3 million.

“They wanted to build a home they could always enjoy with the kids as they were all avid hunters and outdoorsmen,” Sheffer said.

If he were to describe the home in a couple words he would use “hunter's paradise” or “escape to nature.”

“The best part of the property is the peace and quiet,” he said. “The property is set so far off the roads that you're more likely to hear a deer snort or turkey gobble before you hear a car driving by.”

There is a large antler chandelier in the great room and a few smaller ones in the dining area. Hidden behind the natural wood bookshelf in the lower level of the home is a walk-in wine cellar and tasting room, which is “exactly as cool as it sounds,” Sheffer said.

The Lodge comes with a walk-in gun safe, full kitchen, dining area, living room, 20-by-75-foot screened patio, game room, dog kennels and vehicle storage.

Sheffer said this would make a great hunting property, but would also be excellent for kids' summer camps, corporate retreats, weddings and other events.

There is an airport in nearby Marlette for anyone coming out of state and it's only an hour drive from Detroit suburbs, making it easy to go for a weekend and back to work during the week.

“This property would be excellent for a family looking to escape from the crazy world and have pure bliss,” he said.
