Patna, May 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed to extend the time limit for wheat procurement till June 15 for benefit of the farmers.
After reviewing the progress of wheat procurement Mr Kumar directed for extending the time limit saying that the production of wheat was good and asked the authorities to inspire the farmers for procurement of their produce.
He also asked the authorities to take the assistance of the Agriculture Department in the procurement and directed to increase the number of active PACS and marketing division.
Mr Kumar also asked for the timely arrangement of supply in the godowns of State Food Corporation. He also asked to ensure that every ration cardholder should get the benefit of free food grains for May being provided Binder government.
