Like in Britain, the incidence of bleeding and clotting has been reported in India after taking the vaccine. Till now the government was denying these incidents, but on Monday, the national team constituted of the adverse effects after vaccination has confirmed this.
According to them, after taking the vaccine till April, 23 thousand adverse effects have been reported in the country, out of which 498 people have also seen serious effects. When the medical condition was reviewed in these patients, it was found that 26 patients had received complaints of bleeding and clotting. All of these people had taken the Kovishield vaccine. No such effect has been found in those taking covaxine. However, in comparison with the vaccination data, the team found that only 0.61 of the 10 million Kovishield supplements in the country had this complaint.
According to the team, as of April 3 this year, 7,54,35,381 people had been vaccinated, of which 6,86,50,819 had taken Kovishield and 67,84,562 had taken Kovaxin vaccine. During that time, there were complaints of bleeding and blood clots after taking the vaccine in the UK. It was then that the national team started reviewing these cases. During that time 65,944,106 first and 9,491,275 people had taken the second dose. During the review, it was found that 23 thousand of these people have complained of having problems after getting vaccinated. All these complaints were filed in 684 out of 753 districts through the Kovin website.
Much less than in the UK
In this case, the Ministry of Health says that four such cases were registered in the UK on 1 million people. In Germany, 10 out of 1 million people have received complaints of bleeding and blood clots after taking the vaccine. In India, this figure is only 0.61. To date, more than 16.42 crore Kovishield supplements have been given in the country. Therefore, the government is constantly monitoring these cases.
People have also made fewer complaints
Experts say that adverse events in India are also low in government statistics because people have been treated in hospital after a day or two of problems after taking the vaccine. He did not contact the Kovin website or the Nodal Officer for Immunization at all. The ICMR had given the option of the vaccine in the corona examination form only last month. Therefore, this figure may be lower.
Two members of the national team who have seen the adverse effects of vaccination have also agreed to this. They say that more than 16 crore people have been given Kovishield. There are many people who even after taking the vaccine, the situation deteriorated and reached the ICU. Such cases are being reviewed. However, he said that the vaccine is completely safe. People need not panic. In case of difficulty in some cases, treatment is also available.
