Xiaomi extends product warranty by two months
Smartphone major Xiaomi is offering two months extended warranty on Xiaomi devices. The move comes amidst the pandemic situation in the country. The extended warranty is available to all customers and is applicable on devices whose warranty is set to expire in May or June this year.

The company shared the update via a post on Twitter. “Want to get your Xiaomi devices serviced but can't move out and the warranty is expiring? Not to worry, we've got it covered! If the warranty of your Xiaomi devices is expiring in May or June this year, we will extend it by 2 months. Stay home. Stay safe”, reads the tweet shared by the official Twitter handle of Xiaomi India.

As mentioned in the post, Xiaomi customers can also book online appointments on Mi.com for after sales support. Xiaomi’s tweet does not specifically mention that the warranty has been extended on smartphones only. Infact, it says Xiaomi devices which hints that the extension will be available for other Xiaomi products as well.

Earlier this month, Poco and Vivo extended warranty on their smartphones. While Vivo announced a 30 day extension on its products, Poco is giving two-months extended warranty on its smartphones whose warranty period expires in the months of May and June. Poco has also cancelled product launches for the month of may. Poco said that it “wanted to reiterate that nothing is more important than the well-being of our employees, consumers, members of the Poco family, and everyone who has been associated with us.”
