Walmart, Home Depot stock rallies are helping keep the Dow in positive territory

Shares of Walmart Inc. WMT, -0.45% jumped 3.6% and of Home Depot Inc. HD, -1.12% hiked up 2.4% in premarket trading Tuesday, after the blue-chip retailers reported big fiscal first-quarter profit beats. The stocks were pacing the Dow Jones Industrial Average's DJIA, -0.16% early gainers, and helping keep the Dow in positive territory. The implied price gains for Walmart's and Home Depot's stocks would add a total of about 81 points to the Dow's price, while Dow futures YM00, +0.03% were up 78 points, or 0.2%.
