Madurai corporation plans to convert private school into new Covid-19 Siddha treatment centre

MADURAI: Commercial taxes and registration minister P Moorthy, along with Madurai corporation commissioner S Visakan, on Tuesday inspected a private school -- Nehru Vidyalaya -- in Anaiyur to convert it into a Covid-19 siddha treatment centre.
The Madurai corporation had already created two Covid-19 siddha treatment centres.
The one established at Yadava College has 110 beds and the one inaugurated at the American college has 200 beds.
The administration of Nehru Vidyalaya school offered the building recently. The minister instructed officials to inaugurate the centre at the earliest.
P Moorthy also urged people to test for Covid-19 at an early stage and make use of the facility created by the corporation.
