I was struggling with this a few months ago when I decided to make youtube vids.
I decided against adobe because I hate monthly subscriptions. I ended up going with Filmora pro. A decent amount of how to videos on how to use it. A bit complex, but I am technologically retarded, so that might just be me.
So far, it has worked great. Shameless plug, but here is a link to my channel. I had zero experience editing, or filming and was able to struggle my way through the first four videos.
