Kolkata: Sovan Chatterjee, Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee and Madan Mitra have been arrested in the Narada case. Despite Firhad’s claim, he was arrested by the CBI. However, the CBI is not following Firhad’s theory right now. However, another CBI source said the four had already signed the arrest memo. And then the ruling party Trinamool (TMC) is blowing in anger. In the words of Trinamool MP Sougata Roy, ‘It is completely revenge. Extremely reprehensible. After losing in Bengal, the BJP has now resorted to revenge. That is why the CBI is being used.
Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said in more sarcastic language, ‘If you have the power, bring Mukul Roy and Shuvendu Adhikari from their homes before the CBI. Shuvendu-Mukuls are now sitting in the lap of BJP, so they are excluded! ‘ Incidentally, Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee has not yet opened her mouth on the issue.
Madan Mitra, Subrata Mukherjee and Shovan Chatterjee were taken to Nizam’s Palace on Monday morning. CBI sources said that they are also being interrogated. A source also claimed that four people have already been arrested. Chargesheets will be filed against the four in the court on the same day.
Incidentally, among those whose names are on the list of Narde allegations, Shuvendu Adhikari, Mukul Roy is now a BJP MLA. However, approval was not sought to name the two of them in the chargesheet. However, the CBI said that Shuvendu was an MP at the time the case was started. In his case, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha will approve. According to a CBI source, the chargesheet will be filed against them under Section 7 of the Anti-Corruption Act as per the permission of the Governor (Prosecution Sanction).
