Chandigarh, May 16

AAP senior leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Harpal Singh Cheema said people in villages and towns of Punjab were dying with Covid-19, but the Congress was busy fighting the battle for seats.

He said the ruling Congress government had no concern for the people of Punjab as incumbent MLAs were fighting to save their seats for contesting the 2022 election.

Cheema said due to the incompetence of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Covid had spread to the villages and towns of Punjab. He said the state government had failed miserably in fulfilling its responsibilities to make arrangements and prevent the spread of pandemic in the villages. He said the government hospitals had no doctors, no nurses, no paramedical staff and no life support system. — TNS
