Cyclone Tauktae: 3 killed in two separate incidents in Navi Mumbai

NAVI MUMBAI: Two women and a man were killed in two separate incidents in Uran and Sanpada due to gusty winds during cyclone Tauktae on Monday morning.
In the first incident, a woman vegetable seller Nita Naik (50) and a pedestrian Sunandabai Gharat (55) were killed after a temple's wall collapsed on them in Uran market. While Naik was killed on the spot as she was declared brought dead at the hospital, the pedestrian Gharat succumbed to her grievous injuries during treatment at NMMC hospital in Vashi.
In another incident, an Airoli resident Vishal Naralkar (35) while riding his scooter along Palm Beach road was killed after a street light pole uprooted due to gusty wind and fell on him. The incident took place on Monday early morning near Moraj circle at Sanpada.
