In View of the impending extremely severe cyclonic storm, the Indian Navy has deployed teams from Southern Naval Command for rescue and relief operation in Kerala and other states.
The Indian Navy has informed that it has rescued four standard crew members of an Indian Cargo ship, Coromondel Supporter XI, which was adrift North West to Mangalore in Karnataka in the Arabian Sea.
"In a swift response to SOS message by an Indian vessel, adrift in Arabian sea a naval helicopter was dispatched early morning today for rescuing the standard crew of Indian flagged Tug, which was adrift north west of Mangalore Karnataka", said the officials in the Navy.
