Lamar revealed that he’s been using the ketamine for the past two years to remain sober. The drug is administered to him in small doses under supervision.
“I went to rehab and did some other things, but ketamine came into my life at the right time,” he told host Steve Osunsami. “I’m feeling amazing. I’m alive, sober, and happy.”
In 2015, Lamar was discovered in a Las Vegas brothel after a reported four-day stint with drugs and alcohol that left him unresponsive.
However, he shared that his new treatment has largely curbed his desire to use drugs such as cocaine.
“I don’t wake up looking to do lines… or waking up in a dark place or feeling unfulfilled,” Lamar continued. “When Kobe [Bryant] passed away, you know, the old Lamar, that’d have been every excuse in the world for me to go get high, [but] doing drugs didn’t even enter my mind.”
Lamar accused his ex-fiancee Sabrina Parr of using him for fame in a recent interview.
