The Mumbai airport is shutting down flights from 11 am to 2 pm Monday as Cyclone Tauktae blows over Mumbai’s coastline.
An airport spokesperson said just one Chennai-Mumbai flight was diverted to Surat.
The flight tracking app Flightradar however showed at least 10 cancellations of domestic flights between midnight and 12 noon today, including those coming from Goa and Kerala which have been hard hit by the cyclone.
The weather department said the cyclone is now proceedings towards Gujarat.
