The Indian Coast Guard has informed that 4526 fishing boats of Maharashtra and 2258 boats of Gujarat which were out at sea, have safely returned to harbour, in view of Cyclone Tauktae. "#CycloneTauktae through effective and constant liaison with Fisheries Department and timely weather alerts to fishermen by Indian Coast Guard, ships and aircraft, all 4526 fishing boats of #Maharashtra and 2258 boats of #Gujarat which were out at sea, have safely returned to harbour", tweeted ICG yesterday.
Pharma unit owner booked for molesting woman employee
A pharmaceutical unit owner has been booked for allegedly molesting his employee in Kandivali in Mumbai, police said on Sunday. The man had called the victim to his home to get the keys after the latter arrived at the pharma unit and found it locked, a Charkop police station official said. "He molested the 20-year-old woman in his home when she reached there to get the unit keys. He has been booked but not arrested as yet," Senior Inspector Manohar Shinde of Charkop police station said.

Police to keep strict vigil
Thirty-nine teams of the Mumbai Traffic Police will be out on city streets from Sunday night to tackle any situation arising out of the cyclone. Senior officials added that a decision about whether to close the Bandra-Worli Sealink will be taken depending on whether the sea gets very rough. Instructions have been given to all police stations to prevent the public from visiting beaches and promenades.

Mumbai, Thane receive rainfall with strong winds
Mumbai city and adjacent Thane have been witnessing heavy rains since Sunday night with strong winds. The IMD communicated to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) that though Mumbai is not in the direct line of the threat of the cyclone, it will pass through the sea near the city's coastline, as a result of which, the metropolis might witness strong winds accompanied by rainfall.
COIVD-19: 974 die in Maharashtra
A total of 34,389 persons tested positive in the state and 974 died due to the virus. The total caseload of Maharashtra now stands at 53,78,452 with 81,486 fatalities.On the contrary, with 59,318 discharges, the total number of recoveries went up to 48,26,371.
